This fine, concentrated red dye powder is oil-soluble and is the key to achieving a deep red colour.

Why Choose Our Red Dye Powder?

  • True Red: Delivers a brilliant red colour that in paraffin wax and microwax.
  • Highly Concentrated: A little powder dye goes a very long way.
  • Excellent Solubility: Engineered to dissolve fully in paraffin wax and the various microcrystalline waxes.

How to Achieve a Flawless, Even Colour

Dye powder can sometimes clump in hot wax. For a smooth, professional result every time, we recommend the following method:

  1. The Pre-Dispersion Method (Recommended): First, melt a very small amount of your paraffin wax or microwax in a separate container. Add the red dye powder to this small amount of wax and stir thoroughly until it has fully dissolved.
  2. Combine and Mix: Add this concentrated coloured wax to your main batch of melted wax and stir until the colour is uniform throughout. This technique ensures a perfect, even distribution with no specks.
  3. The Re-Melt Method: Alternatively, if you’ve added the dye to your main batch and notice speckles of colour, simply allow the wax to cool and solidify completely. Re-melting the entire batch a second time will help fully dissolve any remaining particles.
